Tips for catching that big one...

Here you can see what real fishers have to say!

-1. Dont always just cast in front of the boat cast from the back and sides to improve chances of catching bass!

-2. When Bass fishing in clear water use dark colored lures and baits and for dark water use light colored to give the bass a better chance of seeing the bait.

-3. If you know where the bait fish are, that is usually where the bass will be.

-4. If you catch a fish and after a couple of minutes you dont get any fish, dont move to a different spot. If you change out your bait instead you will usually catch fish!

- 5.Fish usually produce a slime on their scales that prevent microbial infections. Be careful when handling them because it is very slippery and it gives you germs. Be sure to wash your hands always after being on the water.

-6.The first step to catching a giant is presentation. Dont spook the fish and present the bait or lure your using like its the real thing. Dont try to splash it hard on the cast!!

-7. Keep your tackle area clean and organized to produce better results out in the water.

-8. Use dark colors for clear water and bright colors for dark.

-9. Simple flicks of the line can un-hang you from limbs. Don't be difficult because trying to be complicated in un-hanging can cause more problems. Remember KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID!

-10. 99.9% of the time, you'll find bass in some type of cover. Look for extending branches, brush, and sudden drop offs for the bass.

-11. Use green pumpkin as a color as much as possible because it seems most anglers get more results from green pumpkin because it matches the floor more.

-12. When picking colors for a bait or lure, use a color that matches the water color best. Unnatural isnt the best.
